I have a lot of free time in band in case you can’t tell
i’m tacet a LOT
Ok, story time:
Ok, so my freshman year in high school was rough for me in marching band. I was bad at guard. And when I say bad, I mean I was BAD. I was only in 21 counts of the ENTIRE show, and it was the ballad, so I only spun a swing flag. My dad for Christmas that year have me a color guard flag and said “I only want you to be the best”. I spun that flag ALL WINTER. In the snow too! I was determined to get better. Then the next year my father past away. At his funeral, I approached my grandfather and said that I was gonna march Drum Corps, and I’m gonna do it for him (my dad marched in DCA for a LONG TIME). I kept that promise, and now I’m a member of the best color guard in DCA. Not only did I prove that I could do it and go from 21 counts to winning DCA World championships in guard, but I made my dad proud. This has been an incredible season with Fusion Core and I can’t wait for next year.
